A Day in the Country

We spent Sunday at the farm. I love going to see my grandma. There are so many fun times to remember growing up as a "weekend" farmer. Dad and I would head off early Saturday mornings and spend all day workin (exploring).

Well, there was a bit of work to be done, hanging a new light, cleaning a few things up, but most importantly, we got a bunch of tools for the house! Woo Hoo! Grandma's got at least three of everything. I'm serious... you think of something, she's got it. So we grabbed all kinds of shovels and rakes and implements of destruction. Score!

We also came home with about a dozen tomatoes, a dozen fresh peaches, and four GIANT sunflower heads. In the next few weeks, we'll be takin a crack at making our own sunflower seeds.

Pics to come. I swear.

  1. just a warning.... sunflowers are PERENNIALS, not annuals. Jaime planted a bunch last year, and they've got them going nuts all over the place again this year!
